Description Alarelin acetate is a synthetic Gonadotrophin-releasing hormone agonist. It is the acetate form of a hypothalamic peptide. It is a potent LH-RH agonist in rats and mice. It reversibly delays sexual maturation in rats, stimulates spawning activity in fish. It could inducte ovulation and is used to treat endmometriosis. It is responsible for the secretion of gonadotropins, luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), from the pituitary glands.
